This is an easy and inexpensive way to borrow funds using your savings balance as collateral. We may issue a loan up to double the amount of the funds held, and we will freeze your share savings balance until the loan is repaid. For example, if you have $1,200 in your savings account you may be eligible to receive a loan up to $2,400, with the original savings balance of $1,200 on hold until the loan is paid off. When the loan is repaid the member still has the original savings balance in their share account. Interest rates for this loan are much lower than a traditional unsecured loan, and this is an quick way to obtain additional funds for household expenses or other activities. These loan applications are subject to all other underwriting requirements, and maximum limits are based on credit worthiness.
